Hepa Filter
The main filter inside the SA-11000 is the Hepa Filter ( High Efficiency Particulate Air Filter ), this is the most important filter in any air purifier because it is responsible for filtering out most of the nasty particles in your breathing space such as:

Photo-Catalyst Filter
The SA-11000 also has a five fold photo-catalyst filter. ( What on earth is that we hear you ask!), well, here goes with the short description:

When photocatalyst is exposed to light in the presence of water vapor, two highly reactive substances are formed: hydroxyl radicals [OH] and a superoxide anion [O2-1]. It allows the oxidation of airborne VOCs and toxic organic matter into carbon dioxide and water at room temperature with UV or near-UV light source. It does not need a special energy and use only clean energy in ordinary life. Specific titanium dioxide has strong photo catalyst reaction. It has strong oxidation and decomposition strength.

Basically, Photo-catalyst has the following advantages over any current air purification technologies:

      • Real destruction of pollutant rather than a simple transfer on a substrate 
      • Degradation of pollutant at ambient temperature and pressure
      • Build with easily available materials and by mean of well-known techniques
      • Economical, cheap and low energy consumption
      • Adapted for a large range of pollutant (VOC, bacteria, mold)
 

Outstanding Odour Removal
Just in case the photo-catalyst filter misses anything, the SA11000 also employs an activated charcoal filter which absorbs nasty odours and VOC's ( volatile organic compounds). Anyone suffering from chemical sensitivity can really benefit from having the room air cleaned to such a high degree.

Tobacco Smoke
Second hand cigarette smoke is becoming more and more of a problem in houses across the UK.
The unique filter system inside the SA11000 is unbeatable in the removal of tobacco smoke and the associated lingering odours.

Human Sensor (taking control so you don't have to).
The SA-11000's Human Sensor device automatically detects movement within the room and readies itself accordingly. The 'Fuzzy Sensor' then samples the air as it passes through the machine detecting the
actual level of allergens and contamination and then chooses which fan speed to use to clean the air as efficiently as possible.

Filter Change Alarm ( simple, but hardly ever included in other Hepa Air Purifiers).
One of the most common questions we get asked by our  customers is 'How do i know when it's time to change the filter?
 
With most units you have to take the filter out and check it's colour, in other words you need to 'see' if it is dirty. This can be  quite misleading because a Hepa filter is only just reaching it's peak efficiency when it is black in colour,
( they are white when new ), so you can end up changing it too soon.
The SA-11000 has a built in intelligent sensor which alerts you via an audible alarm that now is the perfect time to change your filter. Not too soon, and importantly, not too late! Filters left in too long can start to offload the collected contaminants in larger 'clumps' and deposit them back into the airstream. The SA-11000 audible alarm
means this need never happen again.
Timer.
If you prefer to control the unit manually, there is a built in timer for you to set the unit to come on or switch off at 1, 2, 4 or 8 hour intervals.

Remote Control
Again a simple, but oh so handy option to have. The SA-11000 features a remote control allowing you to switch the unit on/off, activate auto mode and the timer ( all from the comfort of your armchair!).
