The Airfree E40 is brand new for 2011 and is the new baby of the Airfree range. The E40 has exactly the same world beating air purification technology employed in every other Airfree. The only difference is that the E40 is designed for smaller rooms up to 40m³ ( for those of you who still prefer to work in feet and inches that is around 190 square feet and assumes a normal ceiling height ). So how does Airfree work?
Airfree is the only technology that destroys allergens, mold spores, mildew, dust mite allergens, viruses, bacteria and pet dander. Why is Airfree considered 'safer' than conventional air purifier methods such as HEPA filters and Electronic or Plasma type air cleaners?

No Filters
1. There are NO FILTERS to change. Airfee totally destroys all contaminants leaving behind no residue.Hepa air cleaners only catch the contamination. If the hepa filter is not changed on time the collected pollutants ( now super concentrated ) begin to work loose and re-enter your air space. Remember, a HEPA filter only captures contaminants. Airfree destroys them.

2. The filters employed in other air cleaners frequently employ fibreglass, triclosan paper and materials that can be harmful to the consumer or the environment.

3. Airfree will not emit ozone ( considered an asthma trigger by the Amercian EPA). It does not employ any technology which generates any type of dangerous emmission, no Ionizer, no UV Light and no Ozone Generator. In fact Swedish independent tests show Airfree to actually reduce ozone by 26%.

Totally Silent.
Airfree is totally silent. Completely noiseless. Place your hand over the top of the unit , if you feel a slight warmth , the machine is working!
Other air purifiers require powerful fans to draw the air through the very dense HEPA filters or across the electrostatic plates employed in electrostatic or 'plasma' units. This noise can become a distraction particularly if the unit is being used in a bedroom or a relaxed environment.

Will one unit be powerful enough for my room?
One Airfree E40 is powerful enough to purify the air in rooms up to 40m³ ( for those of you who still prefer to work in feet and inches that is around 190 square feet and assumes a normal ceiling height ) If your room is larger than this then you will need to opt for the E60 which covers rooms up to 60m³ . The P80, P125 and P150 cover larger rooms up to 80, 125 and 150m³ respectively.  

How much does it cost to run?
Very Little!  Remember, there are no expensive hepa filters or UV Bulbs to replace in Airfree, replacement hepa filters can cost from £40.00 up to £200.00 each per year for some machines with UV bulbs costing around £30.00 each. Thats before you even take into consideration the actual electrical costs of running them. Some of which are as much as 250 watts.  Airfree uses none of these consumables, yet still purifies the air better.
Airfree has none of the ongoing costs associated with filter type air purifers, and running 24 hours a day 7 days a week consumes less electricity than a 50w lightbulb.
