We have a number of do-it-yourself fixed systems. These have tool free 'quick-snap' connectors to join the inside and outside units together ( meaning no need for a refrigeration engineer ). All that is required is for the inside unit to be hung on a wall and the cable fed to the outside unit where it snaps into place.
