Seven-stage filtration that actually does the job
Blueair calls it HEPASilent a combination of electrostatic and mechanical filtration that captures 99.97% of airborne particles down to 0.1 microns. That includes dust, pollen, pet dander, mould spores, and smoke particles. The SP3i also adds OdorFence technology, which tackles cooking smells, pet odours, and VOCs more effectively than a standard thin carbon layer.
The result is cleaner air that you can feel, not just measure.
Coverage that makes sense for a medium room
AHAM-verified for rooms up to 46m² (498 sq ft), delivering 4.8 air changes per hour. That's enough for a decent-sized bedroom, a living room, or an open kitchen-diner with the windows shut. Run it on auto and it adjusts fan speed in response to real-time air quality readings from the built-in particle sensor.
If you need it for a larger space, it'll still help.... just with fewer air changes per hour.
Quiet enough to forget it's there
The SP3i runs whisper-quiet at low speed. You won't notice it overnight, and on auto mode you'll rarely hear it ramp up unless something's actually kicked off in the air. CADR ratings of 321 CFM (smoke), 309 CFM (dust), and 330 CFM (pollen) confirm it's a strong performer for its size.

Connect via the Blueair app to monitor air quality, set schedules, and track filter life. Or just plug it in, press the button, and walk away. Auto mode handles the rest.
Running costs that won't surprise you
Power draw runs from 3.5W on low to around 42W at full speed. On typical UK electricity rates, full-speed operation costs roughly 1p per hour. The replacement filter is due annually and sits at around £59. That's it for ongoing costs.
