There are robot vacuums that do a reasonable job, and then there is the V50 Ultra Complete. Independently tested by Vacuum Wars against every major robot vacuum on the market, it held the number one spot on their leaderboard outright. At £999 it undercuts competitors with comparable specs by a significant margin, which is perhaps why it has attracted as much attention as it has.
24,000 Pa suction and a brush that does not tangle
The TurboForce 7 motor runs at 24,000 Pa, putting it firmly in the territory of corded household vacuums rather than the robot vacuum category most people are used to. In independent carpet testing it scored 88% on deep sand pickup, well above the 75% average for robot vacuums. The TroboWave DuoBrush uses two brushes working together to channel hair toward the suction rather than letting it wrap around the roller. MOVA claims it handles hair up to 30cm long without tangling. In testing, that claim held up.
Mopping with warm water and cleaning solution
The DuoSolution system holds two separate cleaning solutions in the base station: one all-purpose cleaner for general floors, and one specifically for pet odour removal. The robot draws from whichever you set it to use, dispensing automatically onto the mop pad during each run. Warm water mopping lifts dried-on stains more effectively than cold, and the JetSpray Dryboard in the base station uses 20 spray nozzles to wash the mop pads thoroughly after every session before hot air drying them.
Climbs obstacles up to 6cm
The StepMaster system uses retractable wheels that physically lift the chassis to cross steps, door tracks, thick rug edges, and U-shaped furniture legs up to 6cm high. Most robot vacuums manage 20mm at best. If your home has uneven floor transitions, thick rugs, or raised thresholds between rooms, this is the feature that makes the difference between a robot that actually cleans the whole house and one that gets stuck and sits there.
Finds its way into tight spaces
The FlexiRise LDS sensor retracts when the robot needs to slide under low furniture and extends in open areas for full 360-degree mapping. Combined with the structured light 3D scanner and side-edge laser, it builds an accurate map of your home and navigates it efficiently, including under beds and kitchen units that most robots cannot reach. Built-in LED fill light means it handles dark rooms and night runs without issue.
Hands-free for months at a time
The 6,400 mAh battery covers large homes on a single charge, returning to dock and resuming automatically if needed. The base station handles emptying, mop washing, mop drying, and solution refilling without any input from you. Under normal household use most people find they only need to top up the water tank and change the dust bag every few weeks.
