Your Tappwater Countertop RO SMR works hard every day. This replacement cartridge keeps it that way.
The standard refill is the genuine annual replacement for the Countertop RO SMR system. It's a composite 7-stage filter in a single cartridge, designed to slot straight in without tools or technical knowledge. When the system's filter indicator prompts a change — typically once a year — this is what you need.
What the cartridge does
Each stage in the filter targets a specific problem with tap water. Together, they remove over 200 contaminants, including PFAS, heavy metals, microplastics, chlorine, fluoride, pesticides, bacteria, viruses, and nitrates. The reverse osmosis membrane works at 0.0001 microns — one of the finest filtration levels available.
After filtration, Swedish Mineral Rock™ adds back the calcium, magnesium, and potassium that reverse osmosis removes. The result is water that's clean, balanced, and genuinely better to drink — not just purified.
When to replace
The system's built-in filter indicator will let you know when it's time. As a general guide, the cartridge lasts up to 12 months for a two-person household using approximately 2 litres per person per day. Higher usage households may need to replace sooner.
Don't wait for taste or flow to change — an exhausted RO filter can still look and flow normally while no longer providing full protection.
