What's new in the SMR
The original Pitcher Pro used a 4-stage filter. The SMR adds a fifth: a bed of alkaline and magnesium balls finished with Swedish Mineral Rock, which gently raises the pH of your water and adds back calcium, magnesium and potassium as it passes through. The result is water that tastes noticeably softer and rounder, not just cleaner.
How it filters
1. A polypropylene mesh catches the larger stuff first.
2. An activated carbon fibre mesh filters down to as fine as 0.5 microns.
3. Activated carbon adsorption pulls out chlorine, pesticides, heavy metals and PFAS.
4. Alkaline and magnesium balls balance the pH.
5. Swedish Mineral Rock adds calcium, magnesium and potassium back in.

Do I need to install anything?
No. There's nothing to fit and nothing to plumb in. Just fill the jug and the water filters as you pour.
How often do I need to change the filter?
Every 3 months, or when the water starts to taste a little flat again. Subscribe and we'll send four refills a year automatically.
Will it make my water taste different?
Yes, in a good way. As well as filtering out chlorine and other unwanted substances, the Swedish Mineral Rock stage adds minerals back in, so the water tastes softer and slightly sweeter.
Is it a straight swap for my old Pitcher Pro filter?
The jug itself is the same shape and size. The SMR refill is the upgraded cartridge with the extra mineral stage, so it's a like-for-like swap when your current filter runs out.
